Terms of Service

These terms explain how keystone works and what we each agree to when you use it. We have kept them short and in plain language.

Last updated July 12, 2026.

The service

keystone is a habit tool. It helps you attach habits to real cues, nudges you at the moment of action, and lets you scale a habit down on hard days so it survives a busy week. It is for your own personal use.

keystone supports building healthy habits. It is not medical advice, and it is not a substitute for a doctor or a therapist.

Your account

You sign in with your email using a one-time link and code, so keep access to your inbox secure. One account is meant for one person, and you are responsible for what happens under yours.

Free and Pro

The Free plan includes the full core loop: up to two routines, all of your reminders, four-state check-ins, your consistency, and a weekly reflection.

Pro is a paid subscription that adds unlimited routines and habits, a warmly narrated weekly reflection, and deeper history and insights.

Billing and cancellation

Payments are handled by Stripe, our payment processor. Pro is a recurring subscription, and you will see the exact price before you confirm.

You can cancel anytime from the billing portal. When you cancel, you keep your Pro features until the end of the period you already paid for, and you are not charged again.

Fair use

Please use keystone lawfully, and do not try to break, overload, or abuse the service, or get into another person's account. That keeps keystone working well for everyone.

The service as it is

We work hard to keep keystone running and to keep your data safe, but we provide the service as it is, without a promise that it will never have an interruption. If something goes wrong, tell us and we will do our best to make it right.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as keystone grows. When we make a meaningful change, we will update the date at the top, and we will let you know if it matters to you.

Questions

If anything here is unclear, reach out and we will explain. We would rather you understand these terms than gloss over them.
